One Dead As Serious Crash Closes Portion Of Route 75 In Suffield
The fatal crash occurred Wednesday morning, closing a portion of the roadway for many hours.

SUFFIELD, CT - A segment of North Main Street, or Route 75, was closed for nearly eight hours Wednesday due to a fatal motor vehicle crash, according to police.
The collision occurred around 8:47 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main, near High Street, and involved a dump truck and another vehicle. One vehicle operator was seriously injured and later died, police said.
The names of the persons involved in the crash have not yet been released.

Due to a fuel leak from one of the vehicles, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called to the scene, as was a truck unit from the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, police said. The road was fully re-opened around 5 p.m., according to police.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
