Serious Crash Closes Portion Of Route 75 In Suffield [UPDATED]
Part of South Main Street was closed to traffic for more than four hours as police investigated a severe collision.

SUFFIELD, CT — A segment of a busy stretch of Route 75 was closed for more than four hours Thursday as police investigated a serious motor vehicle crash.
The crash involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck around 5:09 p.m. Preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling north on South Main Street in the area of Kent Avenue and was struck from behind by a pickup truck traveling in the same direction, Capt. Robert Palmer said.
The motorcycle operator and a passenger were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The truck operator reported no injuries and is cooperating with the investigation, Palmer said.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad (NCMARS) was called to the scene to conduct the investigation, Palmer said.
The roadway re-opened around 9:30 p.m., according to police.
