Standouts On Campus: College Students From Suffield

Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

• Eleven students from Suffield were named to the spring 2024 Dean’s List at Central Connecticut State University. They were Maxwell Beaudoin, Angeline Driggers, Alexis Fahey, Matthew Marenco, Peyton Ryan, Abraham Wanyama, Lionel Wanyama, Riley Corallo, Gjin Rexhaj, Rylee Smaglis and Irene Torrez Flores.

College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee MA

• Deanna Theodore of Suffield graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Elms College during the May 18, 2024 commencement ceremony. Theodore was among 400 students who received their degrees.
• The College of Our Lady of the Elms has named three students from Suffield to the dean's list for the spring 2024 semester. They are Nicholas Kreuzer, Emily Lasneski and Isabella Mills.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Emmanuel College in Boston celebrated its 102nd commencement on Saturday, May 18, 2024, adding hundreds of graduates to the global network of Emmanuel alumni who are making their mark on the world. Jenna Uzdarwin and Emma Luckenback, both of Suffield, each graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in a double major in liberal studies and elementary education.

Endicott College, Beverly MA

• Suffield residents Marissa Dery and Carly Matthews made the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• Gabriella Mandirola of West Suffield has achieved President's List honors for the spring 2024 semester at Nichols College. Students whose semester average is 3.85 or higher for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and no grades below B- will receive President's List honors.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

• Jaden Joaquin of Suffield graduated from Plymouth State University during its 153rd anniversary commencement ceremony on May 11, 2024. Joaquin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology, and was among more than 500 Class of 2024 undergraduate students who received degrees.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Suffield residents Phil Akpinar, who is in the film and animation program, and Nick Kannenberg, who is in the game design and development program, were named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,100 of its newest alumni during the university's 2024 commencement. Nearly 4,000 undergraduate degrees and 800 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies, which took place May 17-19, 2024.
  Among them were Megan Canning of Suffield and Solveig Lindeland of West Suffield.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

• Shane J. Dauphin of Suffield was among more than 1,650 students named to the University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2024 spring semester. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean's List. Dauphin is a freshman philosophy major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.
