Suffield 2024 Election Results: GOP Incumbents Retain State Seats

The polls have closed in Suffield for the 2024 elections, and here are the latest updates on how local residents voted.

SUFFIELD, CT — Shortly after the polls closed Tuesday night, Vice President Kamala Harris was announced as the winner of Connecticut's seven electoral college votes, defeating former President Donald J. Trump and three other candidates, according to the Associated Press.

Also, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-CT, won re-election and a third term in Congress, according to projections. He defeated GOP challenger Matthew M. Corey and two other candidates.

Around 11:30 p.m., Republican challenger Mike France conceded his bid for the District 2 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to longtime Democratic incumbent Joe Courtney.

The 7th Senatorial District was again won by longtime incumbent Republican John Kissel, defeating challenger Cynthia Mangini. Republican Tami Zawistowski retained her District 61 seat in the General Assembly, topping Democrat Michael Malloy.
