Throwback Thursday - A Page From An Old Suffield High School Yearbook

SUFFIELD, CT — This new periodic feature on Suffield Patch will run under various titles, including Wayback Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and Flashback Friday, depending naturally on its day of publication. The common theme is that each will contain a page from a Suffield High School yearbook of the past.

For our initial offering, we go back exactly half a century, to page 119 of the 1975 edition of Sagitta. In all honesty, this photo is one of the strangest I've seen in any yearbook from any school in any town I've covered over the past four decades.

Under the student activities section is a photo of the "English Consulting Board." Huh? What is this supposed to be? If anyone knows the story behind it, or any of the three officers listed for the group, please let us know.
