2 Crashes With Injuries, 2 Vehicle Fires Reported In Haddam
A total of five people were hospitalized in two accidents, including a child, in what was a busy start to the month for firefighters.

HADDAM, CT — Five people were hospitalized following two recent crashes in Haddam. Firefighters also responded to two vehicle fires, according to a Haddam Volunteer Fire Company post on Facebook.
All the incidents occurred between Saturday and Monday.
The first was Saturday at 1:45 a.m. when a vehicle caught fire on Turkey Hill Road in Higganum.

Then Sunday at 9:10 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car accident reported on Route 9 southbound between exits 13 and 10. Four people were taken to Middlesex Hospital via ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
Crews also responded to another vehicle fire Monday at 11:10 a.m. on Saybrook Road near Town and Country Nurseries in Haddam.

Lastly, firefighters were dispatched Monday at 3:45 p.m. to the intersection of Gunger Hill Road and Arkay Drive on a report of a two-car accident. Three people were treated at the scene of the accident. One child was taken to Middlesex Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
