Here are the top four stories in The Haddams-Killingworth today:
- The fields of pick your own dancing daffodils at Halfinger Farm in Higganum should be dancing for the next few weeks. Make a date to take a trip to the beautiful sea of bright yellow flowers. The farm is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pick-your-own. Conditions can vary, however, so it is very important that you call first. (WTNH.com)
- Attention tweens and teens, Thursdays from April 21 through June 9 the Killingworth Library will be holding Dungeons and Dragons game time from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendance is limited to five players. Sign up soon! (Press Release Desk)
- Giving a new meaning to, "Do you want to take a ride?" a unique bike has been built specially to help a rescue dog in Guilford, get around town with his owner. The dog, affectionately called Trippy, has trouble with his back end, after suffering injuries from getting hit by a car, so the modified bike is the next best thing for him to be able to "take a walk." (WTNH.com)
- Now that the weather is getting nicer in Connecticut residents need to beware of roofing inspection scams. According to the CT Better Business Bureau Scam Tracker, the fake roof inspectors often use the name of the state plus "roofing" or "construction" as their business name. Reportedly the person claiming to be a roof inspector offers a free inspection and says they are working on a neighbor's home. If you have questions or concerns check with the BBB.(NBC Connecticut)
