- A Thursday afternoon fire in a home on Plains Road in Haddam resulted in one person being hospitalized. The fire reportedly happened at approximately 2:20 p.m. and crews remained at the scene for several hours putting out the blaze. (NBC Connecticut)
- Two Haddam residents finished the 2022 Boston Marathon. Haddam runner Kevin Stevens, 41, finished with an official time of 2:59:07. Laura Lariviere, 44, finished with an official time of 4:42:33. Congratulations runners! Nearly 25,000 runners in total finished the famed marathon, including more than 350 residents from Connecticut. (The Haddams-Killingworth Patch)
- The 33rd annual quilt show at the Haddam Neck Congregational Church will be held on May 7 and 8. A major fundraiser for the church, all proceeds from the event will go to support the annual upkeep of the church and Sunday school building. The church is seeking handmade quilts for the show.
