Haddam Bank Robbery Suspect Sought by Police
The suspect allegedly robbed a Liberty Bank in Haddam on Monday, March 28.
States Police detectives from Central District Major Crime are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Liberty Bank, 116 Bridge Rd., in the Tylerville section of Haddam. On March 28, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Troopers from Troop F-Westbrook responded to a bank robbery reported at the Liberty Bank.
Upon arrival, troopers spoke with bank employees, who stated a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money.
"After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot," police said. "No weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported."
The lone suspect was described as white man of average height and build, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with a white towel draped over his shoulder, a dark ski hat, and dark jeans.
State Police K9 teams and troopers conducted a search of the area, to no avail.
