- The country has hit the million mark and that's not a good thing. As of Friday, it's been reported that over one million lives in the country have been lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to this somber milestone, Connecticut, with more than 10,800 dead, lowered its flags to half-staff. According to Gov. Lamont's direction, the U.S. and state flags throughout the state will remain at half-staff until sunset on Monday, May 16. (Patch)
