1. Amanda Mark, 36, of Killingworth has been charged in a North Branford 2021 fatal hit and run which resulted in the death of Douglas Clark, 52, of North Branford. Mark turned herself into police on an outstanding warrant. She was charged with Evasion of Responsibility in Operation of a Motor Vehicle Resulting in Death. She's scheduled to appear at New Haven Superior Court on May 13. (Patch)
2. Swing bridge impact survey replies are still being sought by the East Haddam Business Association. Reportedly, the association is seeking to consolidate tangible data on three key factors: estimated increased expenses, loss of revenue and staffing concerns, according to a news release.
