- Today is the last day to buy a tree from the Haddam Killingworth High School environmental science class. The students have partnered with Tree-Plenish to offset the school’s paper usage by selling and planting trees within the local community. They are selling Eastern Redbud, Sugar Maple (ideal for tapping!), and Flowering Dogwood trees. (HK Now)
- Targeting truck emissions, Connecticut Democrats, such as State Representative Christine Palm (D-36), are considering California regulations and pushing for legislation that would work to slash greenhouse gas emissions in the state. Those against this push argue that this may result in higher prices on everything including gas, new cars and even groceries. (Register Citizen)
