- According to a press release, the MEWS+ StartUpMX business incubator program is a collaboration between the MEWS+, Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and a host of local resources and industry leaders. It is an eight-week program for entrepreneurs to refine their ideas, understand fundamental business concepts, and work through the initial stages of their business. Registration deadline nears for Middlesex chamber MEWS+ business incubator program. Applications will be accepted until May 4. (Middletown Press)

- A lot happened at the Capital Friday night. Judge Joan Alexander was selected to the Connecticut Supreme Court. Several bills were passed through the legislative session such as the Connecticut Clean Air Act, protections for abortion providers, a law aimed at curbing skyrocketing catalytic converter thefts and legislation prohibiting Connecticut employers from holding "captive audience" meetings to discourage workers from organizing.
