🌱 Haddam Preserving More Land + Housing Market Is Good

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and breezy. High: 66 Low: 51.

Here are the top three stories today in The Haddams-Killingworth:

1. A new 50-acre parcel of land has been added to The Haddam Land Trust's property list. Called the Deforest Preserve, the land abuts the Beaver Ledges Preserve. The land was donated courtesy of the Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) whose desire to protect the parcel, reportedly inspired the donation to the Haddam Land Trust. (HK Now)
2. If you've been hoping to add a fluffy ball of four-legged love and affection to your family, look no further than these shelters in the The Haddams-Killingworth area. These pets need homes! (Patch)
3. Homes in Middlesex County reportedly continue to sell quickly, with the number of days on the market continuing to drop. This is good news for the area. However, the number of houses sold between January 1 and March 31 decreased from the previous year's numbers at the same time. (Patch)
