- Have you ever wondered how to plank shad on an open fire? Well, wonder no more! Haddam Shad Museum directors Jack Calhoun and Lenny Kochanowsky will be holding a live demonstration of planking shad on an open fire on Sunday, May 15 at the Haddam Shad Museum. (HK Now)
- It's high alert once again in all eight Connecticut counties in regard to COVID-19 transmission warning levels. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the entire state is either in medium or high warning levels and Hartford, Middlesex and New Haven counties are being warned to wear masks when indoors when in public. - Do you have a REAL ID? A REAL ID has a gold star in the top right corner of a license and you will need it in order to use a state-issued driver's license or identification card to fly domestically or enter certain federal buildings. The Department of Homeland Security will begin enforcement on May 3, 2023. The REAL ID Act was passed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to establish minimum security standards for state-issued driver's licenses and identification cards. (Patch)
