Here are the top three stories today in The Haddams-Killingworth:

1. The Brainerd Memorial Library Spring Break Out fundraiser will take place this year on May 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. complete with food, music from a local band, a silent auction and more. Support the library and have fun with family and friends at this community event. (Press Release Desk)

3. On Thursday, Gov. Ned Lamont signed Connecticut's expanded abortion access bill into law. The bill provides protections to people who seek abortion procedures in Connecticut from states where abortion access has been severely curtailed or outlawed. (Patch)
