Regional 17 School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Regional 17 is August 30. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Regional 17 School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/4: Labor Day - No school
• 9/22: Early dismissal all students; Staff Professional Development

October

• 10/9: Columbus Day - No school
• 10/18: Early dismissal all students; Professional Development K-12
• 10/25-26: Early dismissal all students; K-12 Parent/Teacher Conferences

November

• 11/7: No School for Students; Staff Professional Development
• 11/10: Veterans Day Observed - No school
• 11/22: Early dismissal staff & students
• 11/23-24: Thanksgiving Recess

December

• 12/22: Early dismissal staff & students
• 12/25-1/1: Holiday Recess/Christmas and New Years Day

January

• 1/15: Martin Luther King Day - No school
• 1/23: Early dismissal all students; portfolio day K-12
• 1/24: Early dismissal all students; Professional Development K-8

February

• 2/7: Early dismissal all students; Professional Development K-12
• 2/19-20: President's Day Recess

March

• 3/1-2: Early dismissal all students; K-12 Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 3/14: Early dismissal all students; Staff Professional Development
• 3/30: Good Friday - No school

April
