Here are the top three stories in The Haddams-Killingworth today:

  1. It's back, the Annual Killingworth Historical Society (KHS) tag sale! This year the special fundraising event, held at the Parmelee Farm, will be accompanied by a bake sale and the Killingworth Evergreen Garden Club's famed plant sale. Funds from the event will go to help offset the cost of the new KHS barn. (Zip06.com)
  2. For many high school seniors, now is the time to be making plans for the next chapter of your life and that includes funding for college. In an effort to help, the Haddam Club 60 is offering a $750 scholarship to a high school senior who lives in Haddam, Higganum or Haddam Neck. Applicants should be interested in entering the medical field.(HK Now)
  3. Making plans for Memorial Day? The Haddam Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 30, at 9:30 a.m. Veterans who wish to march do not need to be Haddam residents. All nonprofit civic organizations are welcome to participate. The parade route will no longer include marching to the Higganum Cemetery but will instead pass through the Citizen’s Bank and Village Market parking lots, then to the green. (HK Now)
