Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Killingworth Wreck: Report

KILLINGWORTH, CT — A woman is dead and two others were injured following a two-car crash on Route 81 in Killingworth, according to FOX 61. Martha Bernard, 79, was driving south on Route 81 just before 8 p.m. Tuesday when she swerved into the northbound lane and struck another car head-on.

Bernard was transported to Shoreline Clinic and pronounced dead. The other car's driver was taken to Shoreline Clinic, and a passenger in Bernard's car was transported via LifeStar to St. Francis Hospital, according to FOX 61. The condition of those injured is unknown.
