Beloved Recreational Shop To Close In Niantic
The owners said in a Facebook post that it's "been a hard few years trying to stay open."
EAST LYME, CT — A longtime bike shop will close next year. Niantic Bay Bicycles announced that the shop will close March 1.
The shop, located at 8 Methodist St., carries a wide range of bikes and has two mechanics each with over 20 years of experience providing repairs and tune-ups.
The owners said in a Facebook post that it's "been a hard few years trying to stay open." The closing will give the owners "the opportunity to follow a longtime dream of mine to travel/explore Van Life , camp , hike, bike around our country and hopefully around the world."

In the meantime, Niantic Bay Bicycles carries plenty of new and used bikes for sale which are "priced at affordable prices and everything must go."
