Man Charged In Residential Burglary Spree In East Lyme, Police Say

A man is facing a litany of charges in the case, police said.

EAST LYME, CT — A man is facing charges in connection with an East Lyme burglary spree, according to police.

Officers responded to a rash of residential burglaries in September.

Following an investigation, Luise Velasco, 47, of New London, was arrested, according to police.

He was charged with 12 counts of burglary, five counts of attempted burglary, two counts of third-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny, two counts of fifth-degree larceny, four counts of sixth-degree larceny, and seven counts of criminal mischief.

He was held on a court-set bond of $770,000. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
