Care and Share Everyday, But Especially Saturday

The Care and Share of East Lyme has announced that they are accepting donations this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

They said their greatest needs this month are: tuna, mayonnaise, jelly, fruit juice (46oz or larger), beef stew, chicken gravy, chunky soup, brownie mix, family size toothpaste, ground beef, hot dogs, TV dinners.  

Bring donations to 12 Roxbury Road.  

According to their Facebook page, the volunteer agency operates exclusively on donations from the community and provides food, financial and emergency support to residents of East Lyme, Niantic and Salem. If you’re feeling more generous you can lend your energy to the cause. All are invited and welcome to join the agency’s monthly gathering and to meet and become the people who are making it happen!  

Meetings take place on the first Thursday of the month at the Niantic Police Station, Main Street (across from Niantic Cinema) at 7 p.m.
