Catherine (Cecere) Mikutis obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Catherine (Cecere) Mikutis, 92 of East Haven passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 22, 2025 at Whispering Pines. She was born August 13, 1933 in New Haven to Luigi and Josephine (Ruocco) Cecere. Catherine is survived by her loving and devoted husband of over 70 years, Anthony Mikutis and their son, Stephen Mikutis (Patty) of East Haven along with a nephew and two nieces who were very close with Catherine; Michael Barbaro (Eileen), Marianne Johnson (Butch), and Andrea Dalorte (Andy).
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, two sons; Louis Mikutis and Anthony Mikutis and a sister, Marie Barbaro.
Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt and parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church. She served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent for the past 35 years. She was a Leader with Weight Watchers with over 40 years of service. She was always happy leading and helping people with their weight loss success. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her great nieces and nephews games, traveling by car to Florida or Saratoga Springs. She was a very loving and caring person and will be missed by all.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 9 AM until 10:30 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
