How did you come up with the name?

I wanted to be first in the phone book, so I thought of an A name. I thought Advantage was a positive word that helped people.

Why choose that location? Why start a business in this town?


I grew up in Mystic and wanted to help the people in my community with fitness.

We are a Fitness Training facility, besides fitness, we offer physical therapy, massage, and nutrition.

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

My most difficult challenge is balancing my time dedicated to fitness training versus running the business.


What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?


This February, I just expanded and moved into a brand new building growing from 3200 square feet to over 7000 square feet.


How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

Besides helping improve the health of people in our community, we do several fitness and food events for local charities (Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, Safe Futures, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, United Way, Alliance for Living, etc.) We also will offer discounted or free training for those who cannot afford our services.
