What's the Weather? The weather looks to be mostly sunny all week. We might see a few scattered thunderstorms this evening and those could strike again on Tuesday when there's a 60 percent chance of rain. Road Work: Repaving in East Lyme on Overbrook Road, Spring Rock Road, Green Valley Lakes Road, Frogs Hollow Road, and Red Fox Road will create delays starting August 13. Roads will be open to local traffic only; please use alternate route.

Wednesday: Rogers Lake Authority meets at Rogers Lake Clubhouse at 7:30 p.m.; There will be an Old Lyme Affordable Housing meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Old Lyme Town Hall
Thursday: The Tree Commission meets at 4 p.m.; The Lyme Disease Support Group meets at 6:30 p.m.; The WPCA meets at 6:30 p.m. (Note: The WPCA meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday).

Thursday: Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library and the Connecticut Historical Society (CHS) are teaming up to present “From Hula Hoops to High Fashion: G.Fox in the 1950s," at the Library at 5 p.m.Friday: A Red Cross Blood Drive in loving memory of Mike Giannattasio will be held Friday, August 16, from 12:30-6:00 p.m at East Lyme Community Center, 39 Society Rd, Niantic
Friday-Sunday: The biggest event of the week will be in Lyme this weekend. The 112th Hamburg Fair will be held at the fairgrounds, with all the events you've come to know and love. There will be prize pies and pony pulls, contests and carnival rides, music, and displays of animals, vegetables, arts, and crafts. You'll find the full schedule here.
