Lyme-Old Lyme School Board Votes To Arm School Security: Report

The board of education supported a proposal to arm security guards at its Wednesday night meeting.

OLD LYME, CT — The Lyme-Old Lyme Board of Education has voted to arm school security guards, according to WTNH News-8. The district's three campuses all currently have guards, and a vote at the board's Wednesday night meeting determined whether guards would carry concealed weapons.

Two board members voted against the measure. The move will go into effect in September.
