EAST LYME, CT — Route 161 (Flanders Road) in East Lyme will be closed at night for the next two weeks, according to a post from East Lyme Public Safety. The closure started Sunday and will continue until Sept. 22 during the hours of 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open during all other times. Detours will be in place during the night hours. The route will be closed to traffic in the area under the existing bridge where new structural steel will be placed.
