Niantic's New London Tape Distributors Has New Owners

The Niantic-based family business was bought by a Norwich-based family business.

Norwich-based Consumers Interstate Corporation acquired Niantic’s New London Tape Distributors recently. 

A report on PRWeb said the two companies are second-generation businesses currently run by the sons of the founders. New London Tape Distributors was founded by Samuel Elkin in 1957 and now run by his sons Jeffrey and Ronald. The two families knew each other before the merger.   

“Our two families have known each other for years and have always been friends,” said Ron Elkin to reporters at PRWeb.

CIC was founded in 1947 by Jack Fishburg and now run by his son Kenn. Kenn’s daughter also works for the company. 

According to the report on PRWeb, New London Tape supplies tapes, janitorial and paper supplies and CIC develops software to help businesses track and order business supplies.

John Towomey, president of CIC told reporters at PRWeb, “Adding their expertise in packaging tapes, janitorial and paper supplies to our comprehensive cost reduction solution, dramatically benefits our combined customer base.”
