Only Four Things to do in Niantic?
No way! Tell us here what are the best things to do in Niantic and East Lyme in the summer?

Pretty soon, cars will be seen in the driveways of the empty houses around town as “the summer people” begin to arrive. They’ll begin to fill up the sidewalks and the best outdoor seating and at first they’ll be just dots on the beach but soon they will blanket the beaches. Large swaths of Hole in the Wall, Rocky Neck and Crescent Beach will be claimed territory marked by clashing patterns of towels, blankets, chairs and umbrellas.
This we know is true but according to tripadvisor.com, a travel website where people submit reviews and recommendations, beaches in Niantic, the boardwalk (which is scheduled to reopen again in June), the village, and McCook’s park don’t even exist.
The website says there are four things to do in Niantic. The Book Barn, Tumbleweeds, The Children’s Museum and Black Hawk Fishing Boat Tours are the only entries under “things to do in Niantic.”
Are you going to let that stand? What do you think are the best things to do in Niantic and East Lyme in the summer? What are the town’s best kept secrets?
