Free Fishing, Activities and Instruction for Anglers of All Ages organized by DEEP's No Child Left Inside® & Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education Program this Saturday in New London.

A Press Release from DEEP
Connecticut’s Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) is sponsoring “Saltwater Fishing Day” this Saturday, August 10 at Fort Trumbull State Park, New London, from 10:00 am until 2:00 p.m.(GPS address: 90 Walbach Street, New London, CT).
“Our Saltwater Fishing Day is a great opportunity to fish for a number of popular marine species, including bluefish, tautog (blackfish), scup (porgy), striped bass and fluke (summer flounder). I encourage anglers to bring their family and friends to this event and introduce them to the sport of saltwater fishing,” said DEEP Deputy Commissioner Susan Whalen. “Long Island Sound is a very special resource and offers many great fishing opportunities.”
