Sunny Skies, Traffic Alerts, Hula Hoops and High Fashion

Five things to know for East Lyme, Old Lyme, and Lyme on Thursday, August 15.

1. We can look forward to another lovely day, with sunny skies and no chance of rain, according to weather.com. Today's high temperature should peak at about 77 degrees with an overnight low of 58 degrees.

2. Expect traffic delays again along Route 85 and at a variety of local roads in East Lyme, with more roadwork bringing additional delays next week. 

3. In East Lyme: Town Building Commission meets at East Lyme Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Don't forget tomorrow's blood drive will be held at East Lyme's Town Hall in memory of Mike G. 

4. Meetings tonight in Old Lyme: The Tree Commission meets at 4 p.m.; The Lyme Disease Support Group meets at 6:30 p.m.; The WPCA meets at 6:30 p.m. (Note: The WPCA meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday). 

5. Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library and the Connecticut Historical Society (CHS) are teaming up to present “From Hula Hoops to High Fashion: G.Fox in the 1950s," at the Library at 5 p.m.
