Two East Lyme Students Graduate from Fairfield University

Fairfield University, a Jesuit university founded in 1942 in Fairfield, Conn., awarded 1,279 degrees at its 63rd Commencement on Sunday, May 19, 2013, during two ceremonies on campus, one in the morning for undergraduates, and one in the afternoon for those receiving graduate and doctorate degrees.

Elaine Mattern, a resident of East Lyme, received a Master of Arts degree from Fairfield University's Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions.
Taylor Szupiany, a resident of East Lyme received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University's College of Arts and Sciences.
