TOLLAND, CT — State police said they have made an arrest in a case of a woman bailing out of a car in Tolland over the summer.

A warrant has charged 29-year-old Bristol resident Lexus Antonio Crucetts Mahaffey with first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. It was served Oct. 30, according to state police.

The case dates back to Aug. 2, when state police out of the Troop C barracks received 911 calls about a woman "jumping" out of a Honda sedan parked along Merrow Road.

State police found her walking along the road and she quickly approached a cruiser, seemingly in "emotional distress" once a trooper stopped, according to a warrant.

The woman said as she was exiting the Honda, Mahaffy backed up so the open door hit her, according to a warrant.

She was taken to Windham Hospital for treatment for undisclosed injuries, according to a warrant.
