1. The National Weather Service is saying there is a chance of sprinkles today - and that is not a special cone over at the soft serve on Route 30.
2. The next budget meeting is scheduled for March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hocks Center. Public works is among the accounts on the agenda.
3. Learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis, and how three simple steps may someday help you save a life from suicide. The free workshop is being hosted by St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, on Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in the church hall. For further information contact Youth Services at 860-871-3612.Â
4. A local non-profit group, Venture Crew 422, affiliated with the Boy Scouts, will be sponsoring a residential electronic recycling collection event at Tolland High School on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The one-day event is from 9 a.m. to noon.
5. On Saturday, March 16 at 2 pm Laura Le, a certified Laughter Yoga instructor, will offer a class at the Tolland Public Library, 21 Tolland Green. Laughter Yoga, which uses laughter as an exercise, can lower stress and blood pressure, alleviate pain and banish the winter blues. This is a free program and the public is welcome.
