Former Tolland Resident Charged With Child Pornography

Former Tolland resident Jacob Harper, 30, has been charged with importing child pornography material, possessing child pornography and voyeur: intent to arouse sexual desire, according to a press release .

Police said that they found 647 images and 181 videos of child pornography after seizing his home computer, cell phone and an additional hard drive from his home.

Police reported that there was also a 9-year-old female victim related to the voyeurism incident, but that she was unharmed.

Harper was taken into custody on Wednesday at his workplace at the Xtra-Mart at the intersection of Route 32 and Route 195 in Mansfield, police said.

According to the release, a resident trooper was assigned the child pornography case on July 6, while Harper was living with family members in Tolland.

Harper's current address is listed as 103 Tuckie Road in Windham, the release said.

Bond was set at $1,000,000.
