CONNECTICUT — Tolland assumed the top spot in Classes M/S in the latest round of weekly balloting by Connecticut high school girls soccer coaches.

The Eagles collected 10 of 16 first-place votes to move up from the No. 2 position they held last week. Former No. 1 Mercy dropped to second.

In Classes LL/L, St. Joseph was the unanimous top selection of all 16 coaches.
