Nuccio Back In Major Legislative Appropriations Committee Role
State Rep. Tammy Nuccio is returning to a role she has served in since 2022.

HARTFORD, CT — House Republican Leader Vincent Candelora has named State Representative Tammy Nuccio (R-53) as the Ranking Member of the state's Appropriations Committee, for the session that begins on Jan. 8.
A Ranking Member serves as the leader of the minority party in committee meetings and works with the Committee Leadership to bring forward legislation.
The committee has cognizance of all matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state
agencies. Other issues under the committee's jurisdiction include matters relating to state
employees' salaries, benefits and retirement, teachers' retirement and veterans' pensions and
collective bargaining agreements and arbitration awards for all state employees.

Candelora's selection returns Rep. Nuccio to a role she has served in since 2022. Nuccio has focused on fiscal responsibility and community engagement, advocating for commonsense fiscal policies, local resources, healthcare, and energy assistance, among many critical needs for the state.
