The court is open to seniors only during Tolland Senior Center hours. The court is available for use by the general public outside of those hours.

"Whether you're a seasoned player or trying it for the first time, we invite you to stop by,
pick up your paddle, and join in the fun," Foley said.

Four courts at Heron Cove Park were ready for summer play. The project is utilizing funds from a state-administered Small Town Economic Assistance Program to the tune of $415,000.

The Heron Cove courts are exclusive to pickleball. Tolland also has combination tennis and pickleball courts at Crandall Park. A total of $500,000 was allotted from a STEAP grant to pay for the Crandall project.
