Troop C Calls Topped 50,000 In 2024: Report

TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — State police from the Troop C barracks responded to more than 50,000 calls last year, according to its December report to towns it serves and included in the latest Tolland Town Manager's report.

Here is a town-by-town breakdown of service calls out of the troop:

Ashford

• December calls - 74
• Year-to-date calls - 1,175

Coventry

• December calls - 16
• Year-to-date calls - 242

Ellington

• December calls - 519
• Year-to-date calls - 6,867

Mansfield

• December calls - 467
• Year-to-date calls - 7,902

Somers

• December calls - 908
• Year-to-date calls - 10,860

Stafford

• December calls - 650
• Year-to-date calls - 8,035

Tolland

• December calls - 620
• Year-to-date calls - 8,553

Union

• December calls - 113
• Year-to-date calls - 2,465

Vernon

• December calls - 155
• Year-to-date calls - 2,059

Willington

• December calls - 235
• Year-to-date calls - 3,364

Totals

• Year-to-date calls - 51,792

Vernon and Coventry also have municipal police departments. Most other county towns — Ellington, Mansfield, Tolland, Somers and Stafford — participate in the resident state trooper program.
