Troop C Dispatcher Recognized For Her 4 Decades Of Service
Jennifer Page is the "eyes and ears behind that 911 call" one official said.

TOLLAND, CT — A career that is now spanning four decades at the state police Troop C barracks was celebrated Thursday.
At a ceremony at the barracks, dispatcher Jennifer Page was recognized.
"Her unwavering dedication and exceptional support have been instrumental in assisting our Troopers and ensuring the safety of our community," state police said. "Jennifer’s steadfast commitment and professionalism have made her an invaluable member of our team. Here's to honoring her outstanding service and the countless lives she has positively impacted throughout her distinguished career."

Page has been known throughout the years as a steady presence at the dispatch center, whether someone is reporting a flat tire, a runaway horse or a major crash.
"She's a good person to have at dispatch when we're handing a crisis," said Sgt. Thomas Stackpole, a shift commander at Troop C.

Stackpole called Page "even-keeled."
Former Troop C and former overall state police commander Alaric Fox, now the chief in Enfield, had high praise for Page. He said she has been a positive influence over the years.
"It was a pleasure to work with Jen during my state police career," Fox said. "She certainly has shepherded multiple generations of Troop C troopers — including myself — through the early days of our careers. Forty years of service as a dispatcher is simply remarkable. She has served the citizens of the state well."
At the ceremony, Page mentioned "family."
"I was glad to hear her say that because that how we all feel," Tolland Fire Chief John Littell said. "She is a very smart person. and very well-versed. Dispatchers can make or break a call and she is a true asset and the eyes and ears behind that 911 call."
