Want To Learn Pickleball? Tolland Has The Solution

TOLLAND, CT — Want to enjoy Tolland's new pickelball courts but have never played?

Have no fear. The town is offering lessons.

Pickleball is a racquet sport that is all the rage these days, especially with the older crowd. It combines badminton, tennis and ping pong.

Registration is required and the class is open to Tolland residents 18-and-older and limited to 10 participants.

Registration opens Monday.

Classes are slated for Tuesdays from Sept. 26 through Dec. (No Class on Nov 11). Session 1 runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Session 2 is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Classes are at the Tolland Recreation Department.

The fee $50.
