Phone Threat To Rockville Courthouse Leads To Criminal Charges

VERNON, CT — A Hartford man is facing a pair of charges after making a threat toward Rockville Superior Court, state police said.

The threat was made via a phone call at 1:30 p.m. three days before Christmas, according to an arrest report.

The caller was then identified as 52-year-old Hartford resident Jamar Bridges, who was picked up later in the day in the Capital City by Hartford police, according to an arrest report.

Bridges was charged with second-degree threatening with reckless violence and second-degree breach of peace. His initial $50,000 bond was dropped to a written promise to appear in Hartford Superior Court on Jan. 2, judicial system records show.
