Mark and I are celebrating our 12th year wedding anniversary today, (May 1st). Over the past 24 years, he has been the heart and soul of our family. My husband is an incredible father to our 3 sons. Over the past 8 years, I have become ill. Diagnosed with MS, fibromyalgia and leukemia. I have also undergone two spine surgeries, an emergency hysterectomy among other things. Approximately a month ago I became extremely ill with a fever, cough and total weakness in my body. Because I did not meet the CDC requirements for testing I was told to assume I may be positive with COVID-19 and to remain isolated from my family. My husband, took time off of work from his PTO and eventually was placed on leave in which time he took care of me daily! He not only took care of me but took over all the responsibilities in the household including becoming a teacher for our children with the distance learning, he took over paying the bills, as well as doing all the cooking and cleaning and basically becoming both Mom and Dad...as well as my nurse And caregiver in order for me to continue to slowly recover. It has now been over 8 weeks. I have been on several rounds of antibiotics as well as breathing treatments, nebulizers and steroids to help me breathe. Because of my weakness and muscle atrophy he has been the one to help me with everyday activities such as just getting out of bed to walk, showering and even using the toilet. His dedication to me and our family has been Paramount and I truly believe in my heart that there is no way I could have come this far without him. as we celebrate our anniversary today, I wanted to let him know how much of a hero he is.. not just me but to our entire family as well. Even more, he also kept in touch with coworkers during this time.. one who unfortunately lost his battle to COVID-19. Mark is truly an angel who has dedicated himself to his family and friends. I just wanted him to know how much he is loved and how much his love and dedication to our family means the world! He is truly a hero to us and all who know him! His unselfish act has bought all who know him peace and the determination to fight and believe that there are miracles thanks to Angels like him!

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
His selfless love and compassion along with his unstoppable dedication to family and friends that has helped all who know him!
