A witness told police they saw a man trying to force a woman out of the driver's side of a vehicle heading north on Route 5, officials said.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man is accused of trying to force a woman out of the driver’s side of a vehicle on Route 5 on Monday night in a domestic incident, according to police.

Police responded around 8 p.m. on July 7 to a call from a witness saying they saw a man trying to force a woman out of the driver's side of a black Honda CRV heading north on Route 5 near Yale Avenue in Wallingford, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said officers stopped the vehicle nearby and made contact with 60-year-old Michael Castellon, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
