Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges: Wallingford Police

Police said an investigation was launched after the FBI received a complaint of "inappropriate text messages" between the man and a minor.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to police.

Charles Giordano, 47, was arrested Monday with the assistance of the FBI on a warrant in connection with a possession and importing child pornography investigation, according to Wallingford Police Officer Alex Torres.

Torres said the initial complaint was received by the FBI on April 17, 2024, due to “inappropriate text messages between Giordano and a minor.” That led to a lengthy investigation where probable cause was established leading to an arrest warrant, according to Torres.

Giordano was seen in the parking lot of his home on Aug. 25 and was arrested without incident, according to Torres.

Giordano was charged with first-degree possessing child pornography, importing child pornography, risk of injury / impairing morals of minor, enticing a minor, commercial sexual abuse of a minor, and engaging a minor in an obscene performance.

He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 8.
