Obituary: Anna Szalai Petho, 88, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Anna Szalai Petho, 88 of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Carl Petho, died peacefully Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home.

Born in Papa, Hungary June 26, 1932. A daughter of the late John and Anna Szalai.
She had previously lived in Bridgeport before moving to Wallingford in 1969.

She was a homemaker most of her life.

She was a member of the Hungarian Community Club. She was a member of the Wallingford Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ. She loved gardening, reading, and travelling.
She is survived by her son, Carl Petho of Wallingford; her sister, Helen of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and her nephew, Tom of Rockwall, Texas.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mary and infant brother, Charlie and infant sister, Irene.

There will be no calling hours and interment will be private. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, 107 South Cherry Street, Wallingford, CT 06492.
