WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Barbara Boucher, 76, of Wallingford, CT, passed peacefully. She is remembered for a strong will and fight to live, having nine lives and even a very close to death experience with Covid in 2020.

"Auntie, they had to kick you out of the death ward, because you woke up yelling...I want my breakfast!”

She is known for having strong opinions, feisty, articulate, very honest, an avid reader, very intelligent, never vulgar, loyal, remembering birthday and anniversaries of everybody- past and present, being a great storyteller, enjoying her heritage - including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, loving her yellow mustang, greatly loving family and friends, independence, and definitely a “foodie.”

She worked as a keypunch operator, in data entry dept at International Silver, and BC/BS for many years, met several lifetime close friends, and she retired from BC/BS. However, her favorite job was working at a bakery long ago, with the smells, atmosphere, and helping people choose breads and pastries.

Lived life in MA, and CT, however, most of her life lived in Wallingford, CT. Survived by brother, George; and niece, Jodie, both of Minnesota. Preceded in death by sister-in-law, Sandra; nephew, Steven; and parents, George and Ann Boucher.

Burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA, in family plot with parents will be private.
