Obituary: Gladys “Honey” Giannelli, 94, of Wallingford
Gladys, a strong independent woman, was a loyal friend with a great sense of humor and a devoted mother, wife and sister.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Gladys “Honey” Giannelli, 94, of Wallingford, loving wife of 41 years to the late Nicholas “Ohio” Giannelli, passed away peacefully May 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Shamokin, PA on March 17, 1927, a daughter of Robert and Lillian (Bixler) Davis.
Gladys was a devoted mother, wife and sister.
She loved and lived life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling, always making friends wherever she went. Her family brought her the most joy and she insisted that love, respect and family traditions be kept on.
Gladys will be remembered as a strong independent woman, a loyal friend with a great sense of humor, but above all, her love of her family. She will be deeply missed and loved always.
She is survived by her daughters, Lily Pedersen and Nikki Giannelli; her grandson, Freddy Giannelli and his wife, Alysha; her granddaughter, Katie Sykes; and her sister, Kathy Jacques and her husband, Richard of Florida.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Pedersen, sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirl (Steve) Evon, Edith (Joseph) Popovitch, Thelma (Chick) Cassella, and her brother, Robert (Pidge) (Irene) Davis.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 9 am until 11 am.
Her funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in the In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford.
