WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) It is with great sadness that the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Patricia D. Peel announce her passing at the age of 87 on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 of natural causes.

Patricia was the dedicated, loving wife of Hudson Peel for 61 years until his passing in 2020.
She was born on May 5th, 1935 in Provincetown, MA. (which she always affectionately referred to as P-Town) to her parents Hilda and Joseph Sousa.

Patricia (she preferred to be called Pat) worked at the Sheehan High School Cafeteria before becoming the proprietor of The Junior Shop on Center Street in Wallingford. She retired from Kmart in Wallingford after 15 years of service.

Patricia is survived by her children Kevin (Stacey) Peel, Sharon Williams, Mark (Dania) Peel and Debra (Ivan) Schacter along with 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother Jack Dunlop and her beloved brother Joseph Sousa.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law Randy Williams and her brother Donald Dunlop.

Pat loved to crochet and we all have blankets she made for us that we will cherish.

The joys of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her home of 52 years on Montowese Trail.

She loved to pass the time having and adult beverage on her deck and feeding the animals. Pat passed peacefully at her home, a blessing to her and to those she leaves behind.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
