Obituary: Shirley M. Culver, 77, of Wallingford
Shirley, always kind, giving and dedicated to her family, was an avid music enthusiast and worked at Highland Healthcare for many years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Shirley M. Culver, 77, of Wallingford, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
She was born in Altoona, PA, on June 16, 1944, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary J. (Chilcoat) Blair.
She married William J. Culver on August 8, 1988 in Wallingford.
Shirley worked at Highland Healthcare for 22 years until her retirement. She loved music, especially Elvis and Engelbert Humperdinck.
Known to be very kind, she would do anything to help anyone in need. She loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed spending time together.
In addition to her beloved husband of 32 years, Shirley is survived by her son, Kenneth Frye of Wallingford; her step daughter, Lisa Loving of Wallingford; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Garman of Tyrone, PA; her brothers, George (Dorothy) Blair of San Antonio, TX and Robert Blair of Corpus Christi, TX; eight grandchildren, Kristal Carrano, Kinney Frye, Karrie Frye, Steven Edwards, Vicki Gulluzzo, Marissa Herzog, Christopher Capello and Misti Adams; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Shirley will be greatly missed by all who have known her throughout her lifetime or crossed her path along the way.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Capello of San Marcos, TX on March 22, 2021 as well as her siblings, Bill Blair, Burt Blair, Walter Blair Jr., Myrtle McCloskey and Betty Tupone.
In following her wishes, all services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home.
